Imagine trecking through the mountains of Nepal, visiting the oldest Buddhist Stupa, meditating at sunrise on the banks of the Dudh Koshi River and enhancing the outer landscapes through the rich yoga practice in the Bupsa Monastery...
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu After you arrive in Kathmandu you meet our representative who will transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu sight seeing. Visit main places of Kathmandu valley like Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, and Swayambhunath. Pashupatinath is the oldest Hindu temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath stupa is the oldest Buddhist stupa. After launch you visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square, you visit Kumari temple, the temple of Living goddess.
Day 3: Fly to Phaplu and Visit Chewang Monastery and Lodge in phaplu ( 2200m.)
Day 4: Trek to Nunthala, begin our trekking. We walk up in a gentle ascending path from there and head to Takshindo gompa. In this place we can visit the Cheese factory. Then we descend down to Nunthala where we stay overnight.
Day 5: Nunthala to Bupsa (2350m.) This day from Nunthala we descend down to Dudh Koshi River. We pass through terraced farming land as well as the Rai and Sherpa settlements. Then we follow the Dudh Koshi River in a gently ascending path to the Kharikhola and from there walk or some time in a flath path. We finally climb the steep path to Bupsa where we stay overnight. In Bupsa we can visit the ruined Buddhist monastery
Day 6: Visit Bupsa Monastery and Yoga in Afternoon and Lodge
Day 7: Bupsa to Surkey (2400m.) This day we start our journey ascending the steep path for some time to Khari La pass through the forest of rhododendron and oak. From the pass we can see the views of the mountains like Numbu (6960m.), Cho-oyu (8201m.), Gyangchung Kang (7922m.) and Thamserku (6629m.). Then we descend to Puyan. We walk through the forest observing the Mountain View. Finally we descend steeply to Surkey, a small Sherpa village at the bottom of Lukla.
Day 8: Surkey to Phakding (2652m.) At first we walk up in gentle ascending path to Chipling which is the meeting point of the Jiri and Lukla trekking trail to Everest base camp. Then we walk in the plain path for some time and finally ascend to Phakding.
Day 9: Phakdin to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) - (B/L/D): After Breakfast we start our trek passing through pine forest, rhododendron, magnolia and cultivated terraces. We cross and re-cross the thundering glacial river of the day before. We are now in the Sagarmatha National Park proper. We will often see groups of yaks carrying trek gear and goods being traded along the trail. Spectacular mountain peaks like Nupla (5,885m), Kongde Ri (6,093 m) and Thamserku (6,808m) rise majestically above us throughout most of the day. Average trekking time is 6 to 7 hours.
Day 10: climatization day, day hike to Shyangboche (3,833m) - (B/L/D):It’s important to spend an extra night at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization purposes before venturing higher. There is plenty to do around the valley’s central trading hub. We will do a short day hike up to the Everest View Hotel in Shyangboche for stunning views of Ama Dablam and Mount Everest. Average trek.
Day 11: Yoga @ Above View Point.
Day 12: Namche to Tengboche (3867m.) This day starts with the walk through the forest above the Dudh Koshi River with the excellent view of the snow clad mountains. After some time we reach Pungithang. We climb through the rhododendron forest and enter the village of Tengboche. In Tengboche we visit the highest monastery of the world.
Day 13: Yoga @ Tengboche Monestery and Lodge.
Day 14: Tengboche to Namche BazaarFrom Tengboche we descend down to Namche Bazaar. The trail is mostly downhill through the forest of rhododendron forest.
Day 15: Namche to Phakding we descend down through the Sagarmatha national park to the Dudh Koshi valley. Then we descend to Phakding
Day 16: Visit and Yoga in Pemacholing Monestery and Lodge Phakding
Day 17: Visit Local Sherpa Village and home Staying and Sherpa House
Day 18: Trek to Pemba’s Home town Ghat and Staying @ Sherpa House
Day 19: Trek to Lukla and Lodge.
Day 20: Fly back to Kathmandu and Free After noon Kathmandu
Day 21: Airport. This day you depart to your own destination. We transfer to airport by private vehicle.
Yoga trekking program is open for all experience levels and all ages and it is a unique opportunity for those interested in strengthening their body, their mind and nourishing their soul.
